Suma Hiremath is a licensed independent clinical social worker with several years of experience serving children/adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Suma has worked in various settings ranging from emergency services/crisis, integrated behavioral health, partial hospital, medical social work, and community settings.

For the past ten years, her clinical focus has been outpatient therapy. She is comfortable working with patients who vary in background, identity, and presenting concerns. Her approach is warm, positive, client-centered, and strengths-based. Suma primarily utilizes CBT, attachment theory, multicultural, and feminist lenses/modalities in her clinical practice. She is certified in TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy) and DBT trained. Her clinical focuses include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, multicultural identity/racial trauma, women’s issues, sexual/physical abuse and trauma, self-harm, and postpartum/prenatal issues.
