Jacqueline Wiener is bilingual in Spanish and works comfortably with children, adolescents and adults from all ethnicities, cultures and sexual identities. Her background includes inpatient work and almost a decade of experience working at a mental health clinic in the Bronx, New York. She has worked extensively with individuals, families and couples struggling with depression, anxiety, traumas, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, life transitions and parenting issues. She approaches therapy from a psychodynamic perspective tailored to meet the needs of each individual client. She uses various modalities (cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, interpersonal and play therapy) that are strengths-based, signifying her belief that an individual is an expert in his/her own life. In her practice, her goal is to create a comfortable, empathic environment, foster hope and help individuals believe in their ability to help themselves.
