Kristy MacUmber has had several years experience in various settings e.g., clinic, home, and residential settings, with STARR placement. She's worked with youth and families referred by DCF and court involved clients referred by DYS. Kristy also has been a crisis intervention specialist in the emergency department of area hospitals and volunteered with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). She works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Kristy offers supportive and directive counseling to those experiencing behavioral health concerns, including those in acute distress. She provides encouraging, positive, and solution based therapy.
