Ann Zierler has been working with adults, couples, adolescents, children, and families since 1984. Her areas of special interest are relationship issues and women’s issues. She has worked in residential treatment and community mental health settings and developed and facilitated groups for teen-age survivors of sexual abuse. In addition, she has extensive experience in providing Employee Assistance/Managed Mental Health Care Services and has been at MFCS in private practice since 2005. She has an emotionally-focused treatment approach which involves helping clients identify and change the negative emotional patterns that impact their relationships, careers and overall quality of life. She is an active therapist who works in collaboration with clients to connect to their strengths and inner resources in order to develop more effective ways of coping, communicating and functioning in relationships. Clients are able to gain clarity about what drives their negative emotional patterns and change these patterns allowing them to actively work towards leading more self-aware, positive, and fulfilling lives.
