With over 40 years of experience in public and private schools, in private practice and as the former director of Commonwealth Learning Center, Cecile Selwyn works with adolescents, young adults, and adults in the areas of Executive Functioning Skills, time management, organizational skills and academically related difficulties. Strategies are taught to set goals and prioritize; in managing frustration and anxiety; maximizing working memory and improving study skills and test taking.
She uses her expertise in assessments, with her knowledge of Neuroscience and the Brain and Learning, to teach strategies to help her clients understand their unique thinking and learning style, and how to monitor their behaviors to make positive changes. Play Attention, the “Edufeedback” program based on Neurofeedback, is also offered to help with attentional difficulties and cognitive skills to help improve executive functioning.
Cecile’s therapeutic style is client focused and individualized to provide strategies to lead to success towards the goals set by the clients for themselves.
